Custom Medical Needles

medical needles

Tecomet Inc. offers precision, high quality chemically etched needles. Chemical etching is used to etch needle and tip profiles, as well as any channels or markings on the surface of the needle. While etching can produce specialized designs for each application, these etched medical needles will not have the hollow tube design found in most injection needles. Tecomet Inc. specializes in working with difficult-to-etch metals such as nitinol, and stainless steel for medical applications, producing etched needles with excellent feature and tolerance control. Our reputation has been earned by manufacturing medical products that perform at or above expectations.

Custom Needle Manufacturing

We manufacture a wide range of needle profiles and can etch the shafts and channels to meet the requirements for your applications. In addition, we can etch identification, dosage and other markings on the needle shafts. Chemically etched needles manufactured by Tecomet Inc. are burr-free and have no heat-affected zones, ensuring high performance and comfort for patients. We can machine parts as thin as 0.0001 inches thick, up to 0.100 inches thick. Our expertise in working with metals that require special processing, such as titanium and nitinol, allows us to manufacture custom etched needles for a wide range of applications. We have developed a propriety process for chemically etching nitinol that cuts the metal with the tight tolerance and edge control required for medical devices.

Our production facilities include clean rooms and automated visual inspection equipment to ensure that the parts meet all industry, CE Mark and FDA standards. All our parts are manufactured to ISO 9001:2008. We have the experience to work with you on your project from research and development, prototyping and design, through FDA approval.

At Tecomet Inc., we are committed to manufacturing the highest quality products, meeting or exceeding your expectations and delivering parts that will perform well in what can be life-saving applications.
